National Grant
The American Guild of Music offers a grant to the national competition consisting of all entry fees except Age Finals, Concerto, and NAIC. The grant also covers membership fees, banquet tickets, and personal expenses up to the maximum of $250.00.
The applicant must be the current student of a current member of the AGM, still in school and under 19 years of age. The teacher writes a letter, which remains confidential, describing why the student is deserving of the Grant. The student writes an essay entitled "Why I Want to Attend the AGM National Contest".
The selection committee will be made up of members who are not on the Board of Directors and will be known only to the person who makes the selection. Anyone submitting a student for consideration will not serve, and all selection committee members will serve only once. All references to the students name, teacher and instrument will be deleted on the copies sent to the selection committee. A student may win a national grant only once.
Deadline for application is May 15th of the current calendar year.

Great Lakes Regional Grant

The student writes an essay entitled "Why I Want to Attend the AGM Great Lakes Regional Contest".
